Trunk or Treat Shifted to Sunday (10/28) from 3:00 to 5:30 pm

Hi Hopers!

We have planned a huge event this weekend, but we need to make an adjustment in our plan.  As people who put our trust in the Lord, we believe that the weather is indicating that the Lord has a different plan for us.  We're going to shift Trunk or Treat to Sunday afternoon (10/28 with the same time frame – 3:00-5:30 pm).  We'll setup after the 2nd service, but we'll be adapting the setup to avoid the soaked grassy area on the side of the building.  Instead, we'll keep everything on the parking lot.

Sunday's forecast is cool and clear with relatively calm winds.  Saturday has high winds and rain through the day, which would cause us problems in both the morning setup as well as the event itself.  Moving the whole event inside on Saturday is much more difficult than it sounds since space becomes an issue with the number of Trunkers we have, and with a potentially long line of folks waiting to get in.  In addition, our experience with Craft Fair tells us that many people simply don't come if the forecast calls for rain.

If this change of plan means you are unable to participate, please let us know right away (Trunkers, contact Matt Russell (mruss80@gmail.com ), Setup Teams contact Mike Hartwell (mhredeemed@gmail.com) or Matt Miller (mkmarchitect@verizon.net ), and Hospitality Teams contact Lauren Miller (lmlauren.miller@gmail.com) or Bunny Dougherty(Bunny.dougherty@gmail.com)).  And if you're now able to help, feel free to stick around and lend a hand.  We'll need help cleaning up as well at the end of the event.

Please help us spread the word on this.  Our website will have a new banner, our Facebook event will be updated, and we will of course be able to let everyone know on Sunday as well.  But the more we pass on the new date, the more people will know!  I think many will check in anyway with the weather situation, but we can use all the help we can get, so please share the updated event for us if you're on social media.

Thanks for being a fantastic church family and for helping us rise to meet the challenges we face.  I know this is still going to be a huge event, and I know the Lord has a plan for all of us in it.  Looking forward to a great day Sunday!
