Hope Notes 5-25-2007

Dear Friends of Hope ~
This is a very important Sunday for Hope.  Pastor Mark will be sharing his heart about where we stand in our process of growth, and what obstacles we must overcome to continue in health and strength.  It's a holiday weekend, but please make every effort to come.  If you're going to be away, or serving in kid's ministry, you can pick up a copy of the cd or listen to the service online.

SUNDAY SERVICE
Communion Sunday - "Community in Communion"
Communion is always a very special time at Hope.  Please be sure to join us as we remember just exactly what Jesus did for us on the cross.  This Sunday, Pastor Mark shares how each person can have a major part in helping us see Hope explode!  There are simple, easy things you can do that will have a huge impact on the feel, energy, and outlook of Hope.

BIBLE READING FOR MAY - 1 SAMUEL
If this book gives us one vital message, it is this: There is no limit to what a person committed to God can do. Remember the battle between the boy David and the giant Goliath?  You'll find that story in Chapter 17.  Samuel (whose name means "asked of God") was a courageous prophet and the man who crowned Israel's first two kings, one of whom was David.

Dan Bradshaw - For God's wisdom and guidance in making college and career choices.
Bill & Jamie Medlar - For God to provide a way out of their current living situation.
Ed Yost - Health: healing for his back.  Financial: Provision for property taxes.
Angela Hickey - Continuing back problems
Bob & Lisa Mousely - For baby RJ's health - he remains in Children's Hosptital.  He irritates his airway when he cries and sometimes shuts down his breathing.  The doctors are hoping for growth and healing so that this problem resolves on its own.  Otherwise, they will need to put in a tube to help him breathe.  Pray that he will be able to heal quickly - and for Bob and Lisa as they go through this situation with their newborn son!
Peggy Kemp - For strength and encouragement and healing from current respiratory infection.
Hope Christian Fellowship - For the Lord's guidance and direction as we continue to search for a more permanent location and a more suitable temporary location!
Employment Needs - Angela Hickey, Mike Elliot, Bryan Milks, Donnamarie Mannall

Help us to remember to pray, Lord.  Not just for these specific requests, but "in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Ph 4:6

Serving Him,

Lois
