Hope Notes 5-8-2008

Dear Friends of Hope ~
Mother's Day can be a sorrowful day for some people. There may be those who have recently lost their mother, and mothers who have lost a child. Some have broken relationships with their moms and feel the loss of connection and intimacy. For all the moms and children who have each other alive and well, and who have good relationships with each other - be sure to take time to thank God for all He has given you. And don't forget to let each other know how much you love and appreciate the other person. Happy Mother's Day!

SUNDAY SERVICE
Mother's Day - Making an Eternal Difference
For Mother's Day this year, we will be taking time during our morning service to honor our mothers, and to encourage them about the powerful effect they can have on our world by serving as the mother God made them to be. We will see some of the ways that God designed for mothers to have an impact on the next generation. Let us be reminded of how blessed we are at Hope to have so many faithful mothers, and let's support them with our love and prayers as they fill this vital role in our families.

SAMPLE SERVICE - NEXT SUNDAY IS OUR SERVICE AT THE SYNAGOGUE !
May 18th 11:00
Be sure not to miss this special Sunday as we "try out" our worship service at the synagogue (High & S. Warner in Woodbury). We need help setting up on May 17th and then after the service on May 18th to get everything back to the fire hall. We will meet at Hope at 10:00 to get everything moved over to the synagogue. A sign up sheet will be passed around this Sunday. Contact Bob Baumiester with any questions.
CD'S AVAILABLE
Please remember that our services are available on CD immediately following the service for FREE! Pick up a copy for yourself or for anyone they want to share Hope with. Pastor Mark's messages are also available on our website, www.hopechristianfellowship.org.
BIBLE READING FOR MAY - ROMANS
Romans is the apostle Paul's most theological letter and answers the question, "How can sinful man be accepted by a holy God?" The first eleven chapters offer the most straightforward, easily understood explanation of the plan of salvation that can be found in the New Testament. Romans can definitely help you explain to non-believers why they need to know Jesus and how they can receive His free gift of salvation.

Beginning 5/12 from 7:30 - 8:30
Featuring all new material with training by the authors of the study on how to effectively share our faith. It fits in with our focus for our Outreach 2008 at Hope. We are all called to be witnesses; we want to be trained on how to be good at it!
