Hope Notes 1-3-2008

Dear Friends of Hope ~

What better way to begin our new year than being in worship with our brothers and sisters in Christ!  If the pace of the holiday season has kept you from attending church, this is the Sunday to start fresh.  As life returns to normal, make sure to get back in the routine of coming out each Sunday to receive nourishment from the Word of God.  Don't forget Wednesday night Bible study and all our various Small Groups, too!

SUNDAY SERVICE - DO YOU HAVE TO LIVE STRESSED OUT?
(Mat 11:28-30, John 14:27, Phil 4:6-7)
As we start, we all know the drill.  A new year means the opportunity for a new start.  We'll do things differently - better, even!  But life is relentless, and it seems that before long, we've slid back into the old patterns of our lives.  One of the most damaging patterns that we live in as believers is living stressed out.  Sure, out lives are chaotic and busy, but do we have to live stressed out?  Let's look at the words of hope that come from our Savior, and start the process of learning how to live lives of peace and rest!

UPCOMING COMMUNION SUNDAYS

BIBLE READING FOR JANUARY- JOSHUA
Joshua was a man who knew what it took to live a victorious life for God.  He truly put his faith in God into action. He was obedient to God's call in his life.   With God on our side, there's nothing we can't accomplish and no enemy we can't defeat.
