Sunday Service

Dear Friends of Hope

Obviously, with Hurricane Irene bearing down on us, we are all busy getting ready.  Looking towards Sunday and our regular time of worship, the forecasts at this point have the storm hitting overnight on Saturday through Sunday morning.  If the storm stays on this track and intensity, we will be canceling Sunday's service.  If the storm significantly weakens or turns out to sea so that we believe it is relatively safe for those who want to come and worship together, we will go ahead and have our regular Sunday service for whoever can come.

Of course, the other possibility is that the power will be out at church.  In that case, we will have no choice but to cancel church even if the weather would permit safe travel.

We expect to send out a notice about the status of the church service plan by around mid-day tomorrow.  Of course, even if we are able to hold church services, each family has to determine for themselves whether they feel that they can safely travel.

Check in tomorrow!
Thanks for your patience
Pastor Mark
